What Is VeloxDB? Custom Database Engine by Hendoi
4 min read
VeloxDB is the name we use at Hendoi for our custom database and storage engine work. It’s not a single product—it’s our approach to building purpose-built data layers for your hot path.
We design and build custom engines (in-memory, on-disk, or hybrid) tuned for your access patterns. Typical use cases: session store, cache layer, time-series or metrics, real-time state, trading book, event ingest. We deliver the core engine (usually C++), client SDKs (Python, Go, Node, Java, etc.), and deployment/ops docs. You get source code and full ownership.
Product companies in USA, Canada, and India (including Bengaluru) that have outgrown generic SQL or NoSQL for one or two dominant patterns. You want lower cost, predictable latency, or full control for compliance—without replacing your entire data stack.
You share access patterns, latency/throughput targets, and compliance needs. We propose an architecture, fixed scope, and timeline. Development is milestone-based; we hand over code, docs, and support for a defined period. At Hendoi we build custom database engines (VeloxDB) for USA, Canada, and Bengaluru.
